Malcolm has over 24 years’ experience in the field of fuel refineries including Oil & Gas Upstream – Offshore, Oil & Gas Downstream – Refining, Construction (Brownfields), Construction (Greenfields), Cement and Mining Industry and Fabrication Yards.
He has held a number of positions including Operational Excellence Manager, Head of Production Training, Learnership Manager, Zone, SHEQ, Operations Team Leader, Senior Consultant and Project Lead (across multiple regions and Industries) / Commissioning Training Focal Point HSSE and Leadership Training Department –– Pearl GTL (Qatar), Lead Trainer of the Pearl GTL (Qatar), Operations Team Leader, and Operations Shutdown Coordinator.
Malcolm has over 8 years international experience.
His qualifications include Process Controller, Chemical Operations, Leadership Qualifications (UK), A1 Assessor (Scottish Qualifications Authority – SQA), Moderator, NEBOSH (National Examinations Board in Occupational Safety and Health (UK), 7303 PTLL’s (City & Guilds) Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector – UK, Offshore and Sea Survival (Cape Peninsula University) and the National Certificate and Diploma: ODETDP.
He is self-starter and works well in a team. He has considerable experience in leading diverse and talented teams within a challenging and demanding work environment within twenty-four geographical areas and industries.

Alvin (HDipEd Wits 1982, BCom UNISA 2002) has been part owner of Alvin Moss Consultants since 1998 as an Outcomes Based Education provider. Alvin Moss Consultant’s focus is on assisting people to reach their fullest potential and developing their aspirations to reality, through achieving their personal goals, allowing them to further their careers and employment viability in Human Resources Development.
He is registered as an Assessor and Moderator for the ETDP National Certificate: Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices (ODETDP) with the ETDP SETA. Alvin is a qualified Coach, Mentor, Assessor, Facilitator, Designer of Assessments, Moderator and has been a Verifier for many years (FoodBev SETA)
Alvin has worked as a Physics and Chemistry Educationalist for the Education Department and at ESKOM as Manager Adult Education in the HR department where he was responsible for developing Technical and Non-technical Learning Programmes. Since 1990 he has worked in industry with Rational Management Consultants in the KZN and East Coast Business Region as a Special Projects Manager and Trouble Shooter.
From 1999 he added the Education Focus to his business and is a Licensee of Inkwazi Learning Network.
Tom was employed in various engineering and manufacturing capacities before becoming involved in Engineering and Metals Production employee education, training and development.
The challenge of enabling individuals to acquire new skills, led to Tom establishing Tom Richards and Associates in 1999.
Since then he has equipped hundreds of learners, employed in a range of sectors, with the technical and non-technical knowledge and skill to function as effective citizens and employees.
Tom believes that positivity breeds creativity. His upbeat manner and sense of humour creates an environment in which learners can try new concepts and ideas without fear of failure. He sets the bar high and encourages learners to keep trying until they achieve the expected outcomes. He gauges his success by the success of his learners. He believes in their success and pushes them to their limits in order to be successful.

Fazal is an Independent Training and Organisational Development Contractor who holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Public Administration and Business Administration as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) for which he completed a dissertation on Action Learning as training methodology to improve management development. He is a registered Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator with the ETDP SETA and PSETA.
He has thirty-seven (37) years of Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development experience in the Public Service at Provincial and Local Government levels. During this period, he worked extensively in Training and Development as a Human Resource Development Practitioner; skills planner, HRD/training policy and strategy developer; materials developer; trainer; Training and Development Director; and Human Resource Development Chief Director.
He led the establishment and subsequently managed the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Public Service Training Academy which was registered with Public Sector Education and Training Authority as a Skills Development Provider. Training conducted by Fazal ranges from induction/orientation up to executive management development programmes.
He served on the Board of PSETA and Public Sector Trainers Forum (PSTF). The latter advised the Minister of Public Service and Administration (MPSA) on Training and development Matters. In recognition of his work in the field of training and develop he was awarded a life-Time Achievement award and Best Public Service Trainer Award by the MPSA.
Led the development of the KwaZulu-Natal Human Resource Development Strategy; KwaZulu-Natal Master Skills Plan; and establishment of the KwaZulu-Natal Human Resource Development Council.
Lectured at University level in Good Governance, Human Resource Management, Public Service Delivery and Work Preparedness to support Durban University of Technology Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme.
Fazal joined Inkwazi Learning Network as an Associate in 2023.
Bryce has a B. Com. (University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa), an MBA (Cranfield University, United Kingdom) with a specialisation in Systems Behaviour. He is also qualified as a CEA (SA). He is an experienced Facilitator facilitating programmes for tertiary institutions both locally and internationally. He also works with various governmental and private sector training institutions. He is a registered Assessor with the PSETA. He is an experienced learning programme and materials developer.
He has working career that spans forty-five years and has held the following positions:
Senior company analyst in the Investments Division of a major life assurance company involved in research, analysis, and financial analysis
Resident consultant with a consultancy specialising in a range of technical and people skills. He was involved in applied market research, control systems (inventory control, computer (IT)), and work study
General Manager of the Clothing Division of a major retail group responsible for people management, marketing management, project management (new branch expansion/opening), and financial management
Senior Lecturer in the faculty of Economics and Management at a major university. Responsible for a bridging programme for educationally disadvantaged students with responsibility for curriculum design, application of education theory and facilitation.
Director of Development in the Public Affairs Division of a major university, responsible for fundraising, marketing and public relations.
Managing Director of a not-for-profit company retailing food products and responsible for marketing, people management, inventory control, and project management (new branch expansion/opening)
Local government councilor on a Regional Council and then a Local Municipality where he gained experience in government at local level, knowledge of structures and government policy framework, experience of local government employees as well as councilors.

Adrienne has a BA (Unisa) Majors: Education / Psychology, a HDE (WITS) Majors: Drama / Geography, Licentiate Speech & Drama Teaching, Associate Speech & Drama Teaching and is a competent Facilitator, Assessor, Designer of Assessment instruments and Moderator.
She has over 30 years’ teaching experience and has a passion for helping learners grow, develop and realise their full potential. Her focus is all about getting people to the desired point while enjoying the experience. Thus developing material that is fun and facilitates learning is a prime priority. Apart from her teaching qualifications, she coaches and mentors people.
She is a registered member of the South African Council for Educators (SACE) (Number 1055917) and is registered as an Assessor and Moderator with the ETDP, SERVICES and CATHSSETA SETAs.

Herman has a maritime training background. His career in the SA Navy, from 1971 to 2003, was almost equally divided between serving at sea and serving in training appointments ashore.
He attended the first presentation of the Certificate Programme in Defence Management, at the (then) University of the Witwatersrand, specializing in policy formulation. In 1994 he designed and presented the naval orientation course for officers of Umkhonto we Sizwe. His skills as coach and mentor were particularly useful in this role. In 1995 Herman was appointed as the Director Naval Training at Naval Headquarters, operating at the senior staff level. In this posting, he honed his managerial and administrative skills and formulated naval education and training policy and plans that positioned the SA Navy for the challenging times of transformation.
Herman is an accomplished public speaker, facilitator, and events manager. Supported by his considerable experience in the military, diplomatic and industrial fields, he is comfortable in directing and guiding small and large groups of people of any affiliation, also in project context.
Herman became a freelance training entrepreneur on early retirement from the Navy and operated in the full spectrum of his qualification in Occupation Directed ETD Practices NQF level 5. He is a seasoned Facilitator, Assessor, Moderator and Training Systems Designer.
He served as the Commandant of the Ethiopian Maritime Academy before withdrawing into Namaqualand and the Karoo Highlands to focus on Tourism and Nature Conservation.
Herman is an Associate at Inkwazi Learning Network.
He has been attempting to retire since 2017, without success.
Jeanette is an environmental education specialist and owns her own company called – Learning Through Nature. She is committed to providing a professional and quality service in developing skills in people working in the natural environment and early childhood development.
She is a nature conservationist, environmental educator and pre-school teacher and has progressively integrated environmental awareness and the wonders of nature into her daily teachings which produce positive results from the children and adults.
In addition she is training future tour guides and is an active assessor and newly registered moderator (ETDP SETA, CATHSSETA and LG SETA) and facilitator for qualifications in environmental education, conservation and toursim. Much of her time is also spent working with UNISA as a tutor, writer and marker.
Jeanette is an Associate of Inkwazi Learning Network.
Derek was employed in various positions during his 45-year career in Transnet. These included Human Resources, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Fuel Pipeline Operations, as the Operations Training Manager. He was responsible for a team of Trainers, Coaches and Assessors for 20 years. In this position for Transnet Pipelines, the major transporter of various bulk fuels by pipelines, it was his responsibility to ensure the training and appointment of highly competent Fuel Pipeline Controllers to operate various fuel pipelines. Derek studied a for a BCom and achieved a major in Business Management for (Finance, Marketing and Industrial Relations)
He holds a National Certificate (ODETDP) and is registered as an Assessor and Moderator with the ETDP SETA.
Derek developed a significant amount of learning materials for fuel pipeline operations, as well as for Occupational Health and Safety. He was actively involved in gaining accreditation with the TETA SETA for the School of Pipelines as well as the development of the Quality Management System for the school. He ended his career as a Specialist (Pipeline Operations Training) for the Transnet Academy, in the Faculty of Engineering and Pipelines.
He is passionate about educating learners to their fullest potential and to the highest standards and believes in life-long and experiential learning together with formal learning. He is a relaxed facilitator who loves participation and sharing ideas with all learners. He approaches all education activities with preparedness and enthusiasm and holds himself to a very high standard, to ensure the best experience and outcomes for each learner.
Derek joined Inkwazi Learning Network as an Associate in 2023.
Jenny grew up at Injisuthi in the Drakensberg. She matriculated from Girls’ High School in 1973 and then attended UKZN where she completed a BSc and then the HDE (equivalent of current PGCE). She studied through UNISA completing management, law, accounting, and industrial psychology. She also attended Maritzburg Business College and completed a secretarial course.
Between 1979 and 1992 Jenny taught at Grosvenor Boys’ High, Linpark High (Physical science, Maths and Natural Science at both schools) and then taught at Drakensberg Boys’ Choir school for 10 years where she taught Natural Science, Maths, Accounting and Technical Drawing.
After she married, Jenny moved to Howick where she worked as a secretary in an engineering business. She moved to Hluhluwe where she opened a swimming school and trained swimming for many years.
She was approached to teach at Hluhluwe Primary School where she taught English, Maths and Natural Science, managed the choir and trained swimming from 1997 to 2000. She moved back to Pietermaritzburg in 2001 and taught for a year at Cordwalles and then in 2002 went back to High School teaching Business Economics, Natural Science, Physical Science and Life Science at Carter High until she retired in 2021.
Jenny joined Inkwazi Learning Network as an Associate in 2023.
André van Wyk holds a doctorate in Education and specialised in the instructional design of learning programmes in the outcomes-based context. He has extensive experience in Life Sciences teaching at secondary and tertiary level, both locally and internationally. He is a registered assessor and moderators and operating in the South African skills-development arena.
